Dr Ien Chan MBChB, MD, FRCP is fully accredited with the General Medical Council and is on the specialist register.

He sees patients with general skin disorders such as acne, eczema, psoriasis, hair loss and vitiligo as well as screening and treatment of skin cancers and mole checks. His other specialist interests include paediatric dermatology, HIV-associated skin diseases and male genital dermatoses.

He trained in dermatology at St John's Institute of Dermatology, St Mary's Hospital and Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. He has researched the role of extracellular matrix protein 1 in human skin in the Genetic Skin Disease Group, King's College London. This resulted in a research MD degree, numerous publications in high impact factor journals and presentations at national and international dermatology and scientific meetings.

He is an experienced dermatologist, having worked over ten years as a consultant at St Mary's Hospital, part of the Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, the UK's first Academic Health Science Centre. He runs a weekly specialist clinic at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and works privately at Cromwell Hospital and OneWelbeck Skin Health & Allergy.
